The Breville Barista Express BES860XL Café Machine – another great innovation by Breville.
The Breville name is synonymous with innovation and cool designs. They have come up with a sleek looking machine that has a relatively low price tag considering its features.

Any good Barista will tell you that to get the best out of any coffee, cappuccino, espresso, latte etc that you need to use the freshest coffee beans possible and to only grind them when you wish to use them. The Breville Barista Express has its own built in conical grinder and the company claim that it will deliver beans to espresso in under a minute. This feature obviously puts it on par with some of the more commercial machines. The grinder allows you to grind only what you need and is fully adjustable so you can adjust it to your own tastes.

It doesn’t matter what your coffee obsession is be it americano, macchiato or the smooth cafe latte. The Breville Barista Express can deliver great results for all. Although the Barista Express is a great machine it would be wrong of us not not mention another Breville machine the Breville 800ESXL as another fine example of a great espresso machine.

What We Liked

~ Easy to use: Fill it with your favourite fresh beans, choose the filter, press a button
to fill the filter with fresh ground coffee, tamp, then press another
button to make the coffee.

~ Looks great: This machine has been compared to other more expensive brands and the reason is because it looks so great. Its like a mini Starbucks in your kitchen! It is made of stainless steel and is very heavy so the quality is very good.

~ Easy to clean: The bottom tray removes easily and you only need to give the filter a rinse and the machine a wipe down. Thankfully there is no parts to remove

~ Price: This machine has been likened to some models that are in the 4 figure category

What We Didn’t Like

~ Temperature control: In some settings there have been a few people mention that the coffee was not hot enough, however many resolved this problem by simply heating the cup prior to making the coffee, either by mircrowave or just pouring some boiling water in and leaving it to stand for a minute or so.

Breville Barista Express Reviews

espresso machinesI cannot say enough about this machine. I have had it for 10 days now, and I am blown away. Excellent machine, it makes rich crema espresso shots and microfoam for latte art, simple to use, sturdy, I’m a happy camper.

We have had this for 3 months now. Makes the best espresso! Have had no problems except for running out of beans! Read the book, do what it says and you make a great cup!

Our family are all latte drinkers and it can get expensive with daily coffee house visits. My husband did a lot of research over the last 6 mths and after reading some of the Breville Barista Express Reviews we took the plunge and I am so glad we did!

If you are looking to buy this machine then we recommend Amazon , not only do they always have great discounts on products they also have a wider range than anywhere else so you can compare the Breville Barista Express with any of the other great machines on the market :) .

  2. a pod is kind of a puck of coffee. I have only seen them in stbacurks and they are basically coffee pressed really hard into a puck shape and then they are in like a filter so you just place the whole puck in the holder and turn the machine on and a shot comes out. It’s just simple and convenient.
